What Is Three Card Poker?

Three Card Poker is a casino card game where you play against the dealer, rather than against the other guests around the table.

Every player receives three cards and the dealer receives three cards.

You look at your hand and make one simple decision:

Play or Fold?

If you think your cards have a chance of beating the dealer, you play.

If you don't like the look of them, you fold.

Simple!

How Do You Play Three Card Poker?

The game starts by placing your chips on the Ante betting area.

You and the dealer are then each dealt three cards.

After looking at your cards, you decide whether to Play or Fold.

If you fold, the hand is over.

If you decide to play, you place another bet and the dealer reveals their cards.

Then it's time to see who has the better hand.

What Are the Hands in Three Card Poker?

Three Card Poker has slightly different hand rankings from traditional Poker because you're only using three cards.

From highest to lowest:

Straight Flush – three consecutive cards of the same suit

Three of a Kind – three cards of the same value

Straight – three consecutive cards

Flush – three cards of the same suit

Pair – two cards of the same value

High Card – when you don't have any of the combinations above, your highest card counts
